Well, yesterday was Chloe's 1st birthday...pictures forthcoming. As she is now a whole year old, she had her check-up this morning, and Lena just sent me the stats. They are:
At Birth ---------------------> Now
17.5 inches -----------------> 31 inches
4 pounds, 13 ounces ------> 21 pounds, 10 ounces
What a little weed!
Oh yeah, and she had two more teeth cut in the last week, pushing her total to six. So, that was fun.
Pictures tonight...maybe? Also, take notice that I changed the "age line" above; only 364 days until her next birthday!

Less Than 2 Weeks To Go
In less than two weeks, Chloe will be a whole year old. I just can't believe it. I promise, pictures from Uncle Bill's visit and Chloe's first trip to the Atlantic Ocean. I can see that I have you intrigued. Stay tuned!
In the mean time, this should tide you over.

What is Sadly Becoming a Monthly Thing
Okay, I'm going to skip the apology this time since you know I'm sorry that it's been so long since I posted. Life gets busy, as you all know, and there's not much else to say about it. We're both busy, busy and exhausted, and with everything else that needs to be done around the house, blogging falls down the list.
Anyway, a few things to catch you all up on. Chloe just turned 11 months this last Thursday. She now has 4 teeth (middles on top and bottom), weighs just over 21 pounds, and is 29-1/2 inches tall. She's walking assisted now, usually cruising along the edge of the couch or with her hands on her shopping cart walker or using one of our hands. She's getting the hang of standing alone, usually for a few seconds at a time before grabbing whatever is closest. I think her record is 20 seconds.
Other than that, she's slept completely through the night 3 of the last 4 nights, one of them for 11 hours!
Okay, some pictures follow here, and below that is a little 11 second video clip. Enjoy!

Been A While
Yes, I know it's been a while, and I'm sorry. Things have been a little crazier than usual around here this month. Add to the mix that I'm suddenly the administrator of a new piece of software at work, and I'm exhausted. We both are. It's been quite a month, to say the least. It's also before 5:30 in the morning right now, I've just woken up, and my head is about to explode. So, without further ado, here are some of the more recent pictures. Maybe tonight I'll get my laptop out and upload some video for you. I spent about an hour getting it all digitized on Sunday, but after all that, I was just spent. Anyway...ENJOY!

Everything
Not a whole lot to report. Chloe's drooling like a maniac, but no more teeth are poking through. She's deadly enough with the two that she has. HA! We're still waiting for her to make a conscious first word, which could be any day. She babbles a whole lot. We're all in good health, for the most part. More consecutive sleep for us all would be nice. Maybe when she goes off to college in 17 years. Okay, it's late and I'm punchy. Suffice it to say that we're all doing pretty well. Chloe's almost sleeping through the night. I say almost because every once in a while she sleeps the whole night through, but it's inconsistent. As I said, we can't wait for that to happen. Good night, all.

9-Month-Old
This will be quick, as Lena and I are both recovering from the stomach flu.
Chloe had her 9-month check-up yesterday. She weighed in at 19lbs, 8oz and measured 29-inches. That's 92nd Percentile for Height and 63rd Percentile for weight. Basically, she's getting really tall and not gaining a lot. She's definitely gained some, and her lack of major poundage isn't surprising as she's had a few colds. Regardless, she's doing great, and her pediatrician congratulated us on her not having had any ear infections given the number of colds she's had. Not that we, really, had anything to do with that, but still.
Okay, off to dreamland soon. I'll try to post more frequently, but since I just missed my sixth day in a row of work (not counting the weekend), work needs to be caught up on. We're on the mend, though.
Night, folks.

At Long Last
Okay, so I was given a message earlier today, an ultimatum really, that I needed to post pictures or certain readers would stop visiting us here. See if you can spot the teeth. This is just like "Where's Waldo?"
So -- and you know who you are :) -- these are just for you.
-Josh
Can you see the teeth?

WOW!
Hello again, world. My sincerest apologies for the lack of posting in February. I had a bout with the stomach flu, and Lena and Chloe both had colds. We've had some trouble sleeping the last week or so, and that seriously cuts down on the free time; you know, since we're trying to get sleep when we can and keep the house in some semblance of order. To answer the burning questions, yes there are pictures, yes there are movies. As to when they'll be up, I can't really speak to that at the moment. Chloe is asleep right now, and I'm trying to catch up on a few things, including posting here for you all to see. David Mamet said that you should never "try" to do something; when you "try," it means that you intend to fail. That said, I'm not going to try to get pictures up this week. I can promise you that pictures will be up as soon as I can get them. The video might be a little longer since transferring it to a digital video is a lot more time consuming.
We hope that you all are well. And we thank those of you who are still checking in here, despite the recent lack of posting. Later, all!
